Written by Gail McNieceYesterday’s news left the C3 consultants frustrated and angry at those who would take advantage of our educational system by using illegal means to attain college admission. Those of us who are part of C3 strongly believe in the realized and emerging talents and abilities of our students, and we work hard to help our students feel a sense of pride as they find their place going forward. Shared knowledge, trust, support, expertise… these are what make our consortium strong. All of us are members of one or more professional organizations and follow the statements of ethics for each, not only because it is the right thing to do, but also to ensure each student is respected and protected in the process. When hiring a college consultant, ask questions, ask about qualifications, and ask about student and family satisfaction. Those of us who are members of the following organizations welcome these questions.
